Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine S/O Urinary Dry Dog Food
It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before and during the use of this product in order to determine the needs of your dog.
Feed Urinary S/O for 5 to 12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones and up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. The dog should be regularly re-evaluated by the veterinarian to assess the relevance of lifelong recommendation.
Prescribed by veterinarians for the nutritional management of adult dogs with urinary stones (struvites) and to help prevent their recurrence
Struvite dissolution – helps to dissolve struvite stones
Low RSS – helps lower the concentration of ions in the urine, inhibiting the development of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals
Supports urine dilution and larger urinary volume to ensure regular bladder wash out and prevent crystals
Low in magnesium that is a component of struvite uroliths
In older dogs: renal function should be checked before Urinary S/O Canine is prescribed
Indications – may be prescribed to nutritionally manage:
Struvite uroliths: dissolution and management of recurrence
Calcium oxalate uroliths: management of recurrence
Bacterial cystitis: management of secondary struvite crystalluria (in association with adequate antibiotic therapy)
Contraindications:
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
Heart Disease (when sodium restriction is sought)
Concurrent use of urine-acidifying drugs
Growth, gestation, lactation
Pancreatitis or a history of pancreatitis
Hyperlidaemia

Maize flour, rice, animal fats, dehydrated poultry protein, maize gluten, minerals, hydrolysed animal proteins, vegetable fibres, soya oil, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, mono ― and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, marigold extract (source of lutein). Urinary S/O is a complete dietetic feed for dogs, formulated to dissolve struvite stones and reducing their recurrence
It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use
